Introduced to Northern Michigan over the last ten years, Saskatoon’s are quickly becoming noticed for their “Super Fruit” qualities as a high Anti-Oxidant berry. Saskatoon berries are purplish-blue in color and grow on bushes. They look much like a blueberry. Saskatoon berries are eaten fresh or in juice, jams and in pie. Saskatoon’s ripen in early July and are available normally for around two weeks.
